20 chances

Truckers lucky enough to attend major trucking shows like the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas or the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., always come back raving about the good time they had.

Now those who don’t have the time or money to attend those shows finally have a chance to experience the excitement of a truck show – on the road. Beginning in April, America’s Traveling Truck Show, operated by Randall-Reilly Publishing, publisher of Truckers News, will stop at 20 Petro Stopping Centers across the nation. The first stop will be Los Angeles, and the tour ends in Weatherford, Texas, the week before the annual GATS show in Dallas on Aug. 24. A schedule of stops is available online (www.travelingtruckshow.com) and in the pages of Truckers News.

Randy Schwartzenburg, executive director of ATTS, says, “This is a great opportunity for us to take a trade show to the trucking professional instead of requiring them to make their way to a convention center. And it’s good for the exhibitors to get a chance to meet truckers in a more relaxed, face-to-face environment.”

The 20 shows will feature exciting new products, services and activities – right on site.

Here’s some of what you can expect to see and do:

  • Tour new Class 8 trucks
  • Chat with recruiting companies looking for good drivers
  • See new engines from the major manufacturers
  • Visit displays of new components such as suspension and braking systems
  • Learn about new trailers and towing products
  • Browse the newest products and trucking services
  • Enjoy music and entertainment
  • Register to win a Trucker’s Dream Package. ATTS is putting up a hefty cash prize, and trucking vendors will contribute an exciting assortment of trucking products and giveaways.

All you have to do is register at one of the ATTS locations with a valid CDL.

One of the best parts of attending a truck show is getting the opportunity to meet truckers from around the country. Lots of life-long friendships result from these gatherings. So check out the Petro locations that fit your schedule, and make plans to attend some of the ATTS.

Truckers News representatives will be at every event and we’re looking forward to meeting you there. This is a first for the industry and one we’re sure will be a big hit. If you’ve ever wanted to attend a trade show but had to stay on the road, now’s your chance.
