Lizards are for losers

Dear Carolyn,

My husband is a hardworking, honest, happily married trucker who is struggling with sleep apnea and insomnia. He is exhausted after a long day of driving and hates to be harrassed by hookers when he pulls over to sleep. I get it that everyone is trying to make a buck but he says sometimes he’s woken up three or four times a night, especially in rest areas. He’s thinking about putting a no/lizard sticker on his truck to see if that helps. What do you think?

Dear Kate,

As long as there is demand, there will be supply. However, many readers say the no/lizard sign is a strong deterent against the world’s oldest profession and is worth a try. Urge him to report harrassment to the manager and to plan his routes to include parking at a reputable truckstop. Readers, if you have any good suggestions, please send them in. I’ll print a list of the best ones.

I’m just say’n,

Carolyn
