I-15 to be bottlenecked in Calif. until December

As part of the Interstate 15 Cajon Pass Rehabilitation Project, northbound lanes on I-15 from Highway 138 to Oak Hill Road will be reduced down to four lanes until December 2014, save for July 4th weekend.

Crews will be re-striping lanes on the I-15 converting the five-lane stretch to four lanes to maintain shoulder access for emergency responders.

Traffic re-striping is taking place this week, and construction will be done overnight between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The project’s goal is to extend pavement service life between Kenwood Ave. to the south. More information is available at cajonpassproject.com
