Mack Trucks announced Sept. 25 it would continue its sponsorship of the American Trucking Associations’ Share the Road program, marking the 13th consecutive year the truck and engine maker has sponsored the safety education program.

Mack will provide the program with a 2014 Mack Pinnacle sleeper model as part of its sponsorship.

The Share the Road program sends professional truck drivers with exemplary safety records across the country to conduct driving demonstrations for students, motorists and other groups. The program’s drivers, many with million-mile accident-free driving records, cover topics from truck stopping distances to potential blind spots in an effort educate the public on how best to share the road with large trucks.

The Mack Pinnacle included in the sponsorship is a 70-inch high-rise axle-back sleeper, powered by Mack’s MP8 505C engine and the company’s mDrive automated-manual transmission.
