The Apex Capital factoring company launched its eponymous mobile-factoring app this week for Android and iOS devices, delivering new ways for owner-operators and small carriers to deliver documentation and manage invoices straight from their and/or their drivers’ smartphones.

The app enables drivers to take photos of their load’s paperwork with the mobile device, with owners then creating necessary invoices to get paid fast.

The company makes an analogy to the rise in mobile banking when talking about the feature. “We know our clients are mobile, so it’s important to provide them with business solutions that fit their lifestyles,” said Brian Carlgren, Apex senior manager.

The app seamlessly integrates with Apex’s online account-management portal, allowing clients to access their factoring account anytime, from anywhere, on their computer, tablet or smartphone.

Other features include the ability to run credit checks on both brokers and shipper within the app, receive notifications about your account and look up fuel prices based on current location.

In other Apex news, the company issued a statement regarding a premature announcement of plans to launch a load board, NextLoad, reported here. “Apex regrets to announce the NextLOAD load board will not be ready by the initially proposed launch date.” The company had planned to launch at the Mid-America Trucking Show last week.

“Based on feedback received from our beta test clients,” said company rep Sarah Schimpff, “we have a few more improvements to make before we are ready for an all-out product launch.  We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.”
