The Drivewyze PreClear bypass service has been added in Louisiana, the company announced this week.Drivewyze PreClear

The mobile-based weigh station and inspection site bypass service is now available at 559 locations in 35 states, adding bypass opportunities at 14 Louisiana locations.

Eight of the 14 locations in the state deal with high truck traffic and congestion on U.S. Interstates 10, 12 and 20:

•I-12 eastbound and westbound at milemarker 36, about 2 miles west of the U.S. Interstate 55 and I-12 interchange

•I-10 eastbound and westbound at Breaux Bridge near milemarker 108

•I-20 eastbound and westbound at Delta, milemarker 187 near the Mississippi/Louisiana state border

•I-20 eastbound and westbound between the 1 and 2 milemarkers, near the Louisiana/Texas state border

The remaining six locations are on the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10 near milemarker 207, plus the westbound lane of I-10 near milemarker 3, the southbound lane of I-55 near milemarker 59 and the eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. Route 12 near milemarker 3.

Drivewyze uses cellular technology and the internet to add transponder-like functionality to electronic logging devices, smartphones and tablets instead of dedicated short-range communication transponders and transponder readers.

Drivewyze PreClear 3.0, the newest version of the weigh station application, comes with Weigh Station Heads-Up service for real-time notifications for more than 700 weigh stations and inspection sites nationwide.

While the notification service is free, the bypass service is subscription-based and starts at $15.75 per vehicle per month with free trial offers and volume discounts available.

The Drivewyze PreClear weigh station bypass application can be used on Android and iOS-based tablets or smartphones, and is integrated into PeopleNet Blu.2 and Tablet devices, the Zonar 2020 mobile communications tablet, and the Rand McNally TND 760 fleet management device.
