Election returns from Mississippi yesterday, according to a wide variety of reports, show upstart gubernatorial candidate and Fancy Horse Transportation independent owner-operator Robert Gray losing soundly to incumbent Republican Phil Bryant.
“I did everything I could with what I had, and that’s the result,” Gray told WAPT news in Jackson. “The people had a choice and they made it, so that’s all we could do.”
Gray turned heads in August this year when he won the Democratic Party’s primary without mounting much of a public campaign and reportedly not even voting in the contest himself.
