Protests over the police shooting of Keith L. Scott in Charlotte, N.C., spilled over onto Interstate 85 late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, and several trucks were broken into and looted, according to reports.
The protests reportedly blocked both directions of the Interstate. Photos and videos from Twitter and other social media show fires that were set near trucks and protesters attempting to loot cargo from trailers.
The interstate was reopened by Wednesday morning after police reportedly broke up the crowds with tear gas.
