President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Elaine Chao to be his Secretary of Transportation, the head of the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Chao served as President George W. Bush’s Secretary of Labor for the entirety of Bush’s presidency. She’s also the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The American Trucking Associations applauded the appointment, as has the Association of Engine Manufacturers, the lobbying group for truck manufacturers.

Several major media outlets have reported Chao is a good fit to oversee Trump’s push for major infrastructure investments.
