HELP Inc., the non-profit provider of PrePass weigh station bypass services, announced seven new operational locations in North Carolina. These sites are in addition to the PrePass sites on I-85 at Hillsborough, which have been in service since 2015.

The new sites include:

  • I-95 NB near Lumberton
  • I-95 SB in Halifax County
  • I-77 SB near Mount Airy
  • I-40 EB near Asheville
  • I-26 WB near Hendersonville
  • I-40 EB and WB near Statesville

Three additional sites will be activated in the coming months at I-85 SB near Charlotte, I-85 NB in Gaston County, and I-77 NB near Mount Airy.

North Carolina rules require that to be eligible to bypass any weigh station, each PrePass fleet must have a representative photo on file with the State. If a fleet has more than one truck of the same make and color, only one photo per make and color is necessary. Photos must be taken in daylight or a well-lit location and clearly show a side view of the entire truck cab. PrePass customers can upload the photos through Prepass.com, or email them to [email protected]. Additional instructions are available here.
