Dart Transit has released a podcast series aimed at educating trucking industry personnel on identifying and thwarting human trafficking. Available on iTunes and other podcast clients (and on SoundCloud via this link), the series was created in conjunction with Truckers Against Trafficking, the Minnesota Trucking Association and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
The five-part series examines how the state of Minnesota and MTA members have been involved in the effort to address human trafficking, as well as Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s (D-Minn.) efforts on the Combatting Human Trafficking In Vehicles Act, introduced in Congress in 2017 by Klobuchar. The bill was passed last year by Congress and signed into law by President Trump.
