A new online dump-truck-focused online load platform has opened for business with the greater Los Angeles market as the first step in an eventual national roll-out planned to take place over the course of the year. The platform, called Trux and accessible via this link, offers dump-truck owner-operators, construction contractors and materials providers a cloud-based management solution that includes dispatching, tracking, driver notification, paperless ticketing and driver payment functions.
The company also notes it offers small business owners access to group rates and discounts for insurance, maintenance and parts. For construction contractors and materials providers, Trux provides access in turn to truckers looking for loads.
Founded in 2014 as multiple companies jumped into the digital-freight space, the company’s team has since “been hard at work building a platform that benefits everyone in the industry by taking advantage of the computing power everyone already carries in their pocket, including GPS tracking and real-time job updates and notifications,” said Jeff Gower, Trux CEO.
The launch in Southern California was strategic, and follows a “regional pilot program [that] has been a resounding success,” said Rob Kulewicz, Trux Chief Sales Officer. “We’ve heard from drivers who are able to book more jobs and get paid on time, and we’ve heard from contractors who have a much easier time getting dump trucks onsite when needed. We are excited to reach more truckers, contractors and materials producers in the region”with the launch.
