New Xantrex solar charging options

Xantrex, maker of the well-known power inverters for commercial trucks and other applications, has added solar solutions to its product portfolio.

In the first phase of the launch, Xantrex is offering rigid-panel and flexible-panel roof-mounted solar kits and expansion kits to accommodate future upgrade or expansion. The roof-mounted solar kits include a 30A charge controller and all necessary hardware designed for fast and easy installation, including PV and battery cables with built-in fuses and mounting brackets.

The roof-mounted flexible solar panels achieve added durability from a highly protective top-layer of ETFE (Ethylene-Tetra-Fluoro-Ethylene), allowing for high levels of light transmittance and corrosion-, stain- and weather-resistance. The overall result: good performance over a wide temperature range while withstanding a variety of environmental conditions.

A unique mesh-grid technology in the premium flexible Solar MAX panels delivers high durability, the company says. The panels are extremely efficient and can harvest up to 20% than other comparably-sized panels, even in low light and shaded conditions. Peel-and-stick adhesive backing eliminates the need to glue or drill mounting holes, enabling a fast installation.A unique mesh-grid technology in the premium flexible Solar MAX panels delivers high durability, the company says. Xantrex’s solar kits are also available with a rigid or flexible lightweight panel option. Most come with a five-year warranty, available through distribution partners and dealers throughout North America. Detailed product information is available via this link.

The addition of solar solutions adds to Xantrex’s other products, including power inverters, inverter/chargers, battery chargers, backup power and lithium ion batteries.
