Brokered-freight rates transparency: Weigh in on these two questions

Updated Feb 16, 2024

The survey below follows recent reporting around average spot rate indices as well as the issue of brokered-freight "transparency," or the transaction records required to be made available to owner-operators after any brokered load they move. The regulation, codified in 49 Code of Federal Regulations 371.3, spells out that those records include payment amounts on both sides of the brokered transaction.

As noted, the FMCSA is making a move toward potentially changing records requirements after a petition that asked for automated brokered-records disclosure. (After making your selections in the survey module below, don't forget to tap/click "Finish survey" to make sure your answers are submitted and recorded.)
