Photo gallery: SuperRigs competitors brave the rain on Day 1

Shell Rotella’s annual SuperRigs show began this morning at the zMax Dragway in Concord, N.C., to an uncooperative line of thunderstorms.

Competitors, however, haven’t been bashful, showing up to brave the conditions. Here’s a sampling of the trucks that have pulled through the judging line so far, and some that are staged in the zMax lot:
