Custom RigsPhotos: No. 54 ‘Team Tortured’ ChampTruck at MATSTodd DillsMar 26, 2015Updated Apr 7, 2015 On display at the Minimizer company’s booth at the Mid-America Trucking Show is this Volvo ChampTruck, one of two the company has entered in the ChampTruck race series, getting under way next month. This No. 54 “Team Tortured” truck will be piloted in the series by race driver Brad Klemmenson of Blooming Prairie, Minn. Klemmenson, who until now has been working the family farm in Minnesota, trades in his John Deere green for the red-and-black scheme of this modified 10-speed manual, two-axle Volvo 670. Minimizer likewise has a car in an NHRA series with its foray into racing. Known for its fenders, Minimizer has another rig in the running with “Team Tested,” piloted by Trevor Kruckeberg, a commercial driver who’s hauled Minimizer training and innovation trailers in the past. You can meet both drivers, and check out the 54 rig, at the Minimizer booth in the West Wing at the Kentucky Convention Center, if you’re at MATS.
