Shell Rotella’s SuperRigs, held earlier this month in San Antonio, was an outstanding show, and it was one of the finer collections of custom working trucks I’ve seen in a while.

And — in addition to the show’s role of choosing the weekend’s winners and the 12 trucks that will appear in next year’s SuperRigs calendar — it also, in small part, offered a sneak peak at the upcoming Overdrive’s Pride & Polish National Championship, the finale for which will be held at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas in August.

Below are the five Pride & Polish championship competitors I saw in the two days I roamed the lot at SuperRigs. More could have showed up Saturday, after I’d left the event, but the five that were there make up at least a quarter of the trucks that will square off in August for the 2015 Pride & Polish championship.

Here are the five:

Ray Rodriguez’s “Wicked,” a 2015 Peterbilt 389 and Mac flatbed:

Rodriguez’s truck won Best of Show, Limited-Mileage Combo, at the 2014 Great American Trucking Show, qualifying it for the 2015 Pride & Polish National Championship. Phil Miller’s 2010 Peterbilt 389 and livestock hauler:
