Matt Beaty hauls aircraft for museums, private collectors and special military projects with this 1999 Peterbilt 379. The truck is equipped with a 12.7-liter Detroit with a 13-speed Eaton and sits on a 315-inch wheelbase. Beaty plans to repaint the truck to look like the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver dive bombers from World War II, which his grandfather flew in the Pacific during the war, “to honor him, the young men he fought with, and especially those who never came home,” he says. He pulls a tri-axle step deck and double drop stretch trailers. The rig is pictured above loading an F-18 Hornet that fought in the Gulf War.
