Theresa, Wisconsin-based Buske Trucking LLC will celebrate 20 years in business in 2025, hauling for local farms, doing tanker work, hauling equipment and more.
Brett Buske works with his father, Pete, in the family business, and has been behind the wheel of a Buske truck for eight years.
Most of the fleet’s work is with farmers in the area -- “there’s always stuff to be hauled on the farms,” Brett said. The company also does some municipal work to help fill in the gaps.
Two of the fleet’s trucks on hand with Brett Buske himself at the 2024 Waupun Truck-N-Show in Waupun, Wisconsin, in August -- his personal 2006 Peterbilt 379 and a newer 2024 Kenworth W990, both shown in the video up top. In all, the fleet has five 379s, the W990, and a Mack that pulls a tanker full- time.
He’s been behind the wheel of the 379 since he was 18. “I just kinda like to do my thing with it, trying to make it look cool and keep up with the times,” he said.
The 2024 Kenworth W990 also features a custom bumper with lights, a recently added custom visor and more. Brett said he’d like to add more lighting all around, but at the time of the show in August, “we kind of ran out of time.” The W990 boasts a Cummins X15.
Both trucks pull 36-foot Meyer Boss RT ag trailers, which are used for the feed-hauling portion of the Buskes' business. Catch views of them both in the video.

Brett Buske: I am Brett Buske. We are based out of Theresa, Wisconsin. Buske Trucking, LLC. We do a lot of custom cropping, tanker work, hauling equipment, kind of a little bit of everything.
Matt Cole: How long have you guys been in business?
Buske: Next year we will be in business 20 years. So it's coming up fast.
So this is a truck I drive, '06 379 Peterbilt. I got it right as I started driving when I was 18. You know, just kind of like to do my thing with it, trying to make it look cool and keep up with the times. Yeah.
Cole: What kind of motor you got in it?
Buske: C15.
Cole: What kind of horsepower is it putting out?
Buske: 550. So obviously I got a 20 inch bumper on it, put 20 lights in it. Bowtie visor, window chops, seven inch stacks. I did some work to the interior on it. I redid the door panels. Double bend shifter. Bunch of lights in the interior. You know, kind try to keep a nice.
Cole: What kind of trailer do you pull?
Buske: This is a 36ft Meyer Boss trailer. They're built in Dorchester, Wisconsin. So pretty local us, but, yeah, it's all we run for our feed hauling business.
Cole: All right. And then the, W990 over here.
Buske: Yeah, it's a 2024 X15 Cummins, 236 wheelbase. We just got done putting the visor on it. Bumper on it. Yeah, it's a great truck. Great riding truck. It rides like Cadillac. This one, we'd like to add a few lights here and there. We kind of ran all the time. I'm pretty happy with mine. I like, I like it the way it is. Simple. So. And do what you gotta do.
