Wabash’s composite trailer technology

Wabash’s composite refrigerated van is built with a proprietary molded structural composite technology used in a wide range of applications, including aerospace, automotive, marine and commercial construction. In refrigerated van trailer and truck body applications, the technology is engineered to provide up to a 25 percent improvement in thermal performance and is designed to be up to 20 percent lighter than conventional designs while improving puncture and damage resistance. The molded structural composite floor systems are suited to support higher floor ratings – up to 24,000 pounds in the company’s refrigerated van trailer.
