Utility’s 4000D-X Composite TBR (Tall Bottom Rail) dry van trailer is engineered for heavy hauls that often incur added forklift abuse and lower wall rubbing. The thick, rugged aluminum TBR model features a bottom rail that is 10 inches taller and 50 percent thicker at floor level than the standard bottom rail. The riveted structural components, including the wearband, have been raised above the pallet impact, rub and work level and have been replaced by a smooth, solid one-piece interior surface. While the inside dimensions from wearband to wearband remain 101 inches, the TBR option has a standard 20,000-pound floor rating and a 65,000-pound GVWR to facilitate increased payload and decreased maintenance.
