Goodyear’s Fuel Max SSD drive and Fuel Max SST trailer wide-base tires for long-haul fleets are SmartWay-verified and feature the company’s Fuel Max Technology that incorporates fuel-saving compounds with advanced tire constructions and tread designs for lower rolling resistance. Other features include a tread compound engineered for enhanced fuel economy; an optimized tread design and tire footprint to facilitate even wear and long miles to removal; wide grooves with stone ejectors that resist stone drilling and promote casing durability; the company’s Tredlock Technology with interlocking microgrooves to help stabilize the tread for high mileage; and an open shoulder design to promote all-season traction.
The tires also feature the company’s DuraSeal Technology that helps seal punctures of up to ¼-inch in diameter in the repairable area of the tire’s tread. Both are available in size 445/50R22.5.
