New tire for hotshots, cargo van owner-operators

Updated Jun 6, 2025

Working fleets and owner-operators face growing maintenance costs, challenging working conditions, downtime pressures and myriad safety concerns. The Michelin company hopes to help hotshot and cargo van owners address all of them with its all-new Agilis CrossClimate 2 tire, built for reliability and peak performance, the company said. Under heavy loads or in harsh weather, the all-weather commercial tire is built to keep businesses moving with long-lasting performance.

Michelin Agilis Crossclimate 2 Lt225 Slash 75 R16“Michelin recognizes the dedication of the workforce that keeps life in motion, and we’ve created a tire that works just as hard,” said Pierluigi Cumo, VP of B2B marketing at Michelin North America. “To deliver every job on schedule, customers need a tire forged with the same strength and resolve as the dedicated individuals whose drive fuels the community they serve. They are the few who drive the many.”

The Agilis CrossClimate 2 tire is set to be available in 18 sizes, covering 90% and more of the commercial light truck market, the company said, with more sizes planned to be made available in October 2025. Find more information about the full Agilis line via this link.

With Michelin’s CurbGard technology, the CrossClimate 2 comes with 70% more sidewall rubber than the competition, the company said. It's designed to maximize uptime and control costs, delivering 35% more mileage and 35% better snow traction than competitors, too. SipeLock technology features hundreds of biting edges in the tread to help boost traction for control in challenging conditions, all backed by Agilis’ 20% more miles and 60-day satisfaction guarantees.

The CrossClimate 2 tire Cuomo likens to "rolling up your sleeves and powering through a job. It doesn’t take breaks, and it doesn’t back down. From the job site to the highway, this tire doesn’t flinch. The Agilis CrossClimate 2 tire approaches every task with the precision and pride of a master craftsman.”
