Lower diesel prices

For the fifth week in a row, the national average retail price of a gallon of diesel fell this week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The price dipped 1.8 cents to $2.928 in the latest week and has dropped 20 cents over the past five weeks.

All regions but California reported lower prices. The biggest decline of 3.1 cents to $2.989 was in the Rocky Mountain area. California was the most expensive at $3.68, unchanged from the previous week. The cheapest diesel remained on the Gulf Coast at $2.874.
