Crete driver named Trucker Buddy president

Kellie “K.C.” Brau has been elected president of the Trucker Buddy International Executive Committee. Brau has been driving over the road for 24 years, 15 of which have been with Crete Carrier Corporation.

“We’re excited to have K.C. move into a greater level of leadership for our organization. He will help take Trucker Buddy to the next level,” said Randy Schwartzenburg, executive director.

A nonprofit organization, Trucker Buddy International’s mission is to educate schoolchildren in grades K-8 and introduce educators to the trucking industry. The program is funded through sponsorships and donations.

Indiana-headquartered owner-operator John Penn is making a name for himself amongst his peers for a drive to excel in fuel efficiency and management of customer relationships for steady business. Penn is the October Trucker of the Month, putting him in the running for Overdrive's 2025 Trucker of the Year award.
