I was actually asked by my supervisor to enter this contest. I personally believe my beauty lies on the inside. However, my best friend, husband and boss think I am beautiful. The first two, and possibly the third, are quite biased.
I was an owner-operator for over 10 years. My husband and I have been to all 48 states and Canada. I have pulled reefer, dry van, flatbed and empty tankers. I have driven solo and as a team with my husband. I absolutely love the industry. Trucking is in my blood.
I now teach trucking at the same community college where I learned to drive. I absolutely LOVE my job! I focus on safety and being legal at all times. My boss calls me “Sunshine” and my coworkers claim I’m way too peppy in the mornings.
I have been in our local paper and on the local news. I discovered today that our college used my picture in an ad for the Eagle Ford Shale magazine.
