Elvis Williamson and his son, Elvis Jr., of Poplarville, Miss., showed this 1995 Peterbilt 379 at the 2009 Great American Trucking Show Pride & Polish for a friend. They bought it directly afterward, tore it down to the frame rails and rebuilt it. “We fix them up and put our own touch on them with a blend of old school styling with new school technology,” Williamson says. The truck won third in the Working Bobtail, 2000 & Older category, in the 2010 GATS Pride & Polish.

The truck was delivered as an incomplete glider to the original owner, who never got around to finishing the work on it. Small fleet owner Gary Niell now owns the unit, powered by an Acert Cat.
