Heavy-duty truck mechanic James Churchill has completely rebuilt and restored this 1987 Peterbilt 359 into a mobile service truck. He said he bought the truck sight unseen, and it was in seven pieces when he took ownership. "I have replaced, rebuilt or restored every single item on this truck," he said.
He converted the rig to a box truck, using the box to carry his tools. He's also added an air tank mounted behind the fuel tank, as well as an air compressor attached to the frame rails.
The truck is powered by a 3406B Cat with an 18-speed. Churchill added a marine fuel pump, big injectors, and a big turbo. He said the engine is "dialed back a couple degrees," but the truck "makes good horsepower for climbing the logging roads up mountains."
