More than 26,000 Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack trucks recalled over transmission issue
The recalls from Paccar, Volvo and Mack all stem from issues on trucks equipped with automated manual transmissions. In the affected trucks, an internal component in the clutch assembly could fail. Daimler Trucks and Great Dane also recently issued unrelated recalls.

Mack, Volvo recall more than 3,000 trucks for lighting, steering issues
Most trucks included in the recalls are vocational. The largest of the three recalls affects approximately 2,194 model year 2004-2019 VHD vocational trucks equipped with snow plow lamp preparation kits. Mack issued the same recall on approximately 946 model year 2019 Granite trucks.

Super Econodyne-rated Mack engines cruise at approximately 1,150 rpm – a reduction of 200- 300 rpm from a typical highway cruise rpm – which can result in an improved fuel efficiency of up to 3 percent.
