Navistar is recalling more than 12,500 International DuraStar, WorkStar, HV and MV trucks for an engine issue. Mack is recalling more than 1,900 TerraPro, Anthem, Granite and Pinnacle trucks for headlight and steering issues.

Mack recalls nearly 4,000 trucks over mirror issue, Carrier recalls nearly 4,000 APUs

The Mack recall affects approximately 3,906 Mack Anthem, Granite and Pinnacle trucks over an issue with the passenger side door down-view mirror. Carrier is recalling 3,855 APUs over a ground wire issue, while Stoughton is recalling over 2,000 dry vans and Trail King is recalling 80 step deck trailers.

Mack, Volvo recall more than 3,000 trucks for lighting, steering issues

Most trucks included in the recalls are vocational. The largest of the three recalls affects approximately 2,194 model year 2004-2019 VHD vocational trucks equipped with snow plow lamp preparation kits. Mack issued the same recall on approximately 946 model year 2019 Granite trucks.

The rugged Mack Granite model is once again the No. 1-selling heavy-duty conventional straight truck in the U.S., the company announced, based on IHS Markit U.S. new commercial vehicle registrations. Built in the U.S. , the Granite model is available in axle forward or axle back configurations. The truck can be spec’d for a wide variety of construction tasks, including dump and concrete mixer applications. The Granite model can also be found in the refuse segment as a rear-loader or roll off, while municipal customers depend on Granite models for plow applications. For heavy-haul or logging applications, the Granite model can be spec’d as a tractor with heavy-duty upgrades.

The Granite was ordered as a three-axle model but was modified by Engineered Chassis Systems, a subsidiary of the Nuss Group, which built the body, converted it to an all-wheel-drive 8×8 and installed the twin steer axles.
