A small fleet out of Fresno, California, now owns the well-known Boondocks Truck Stop near Williams, Iowa, off of I-35.

Anyway Logistics bought the property for $500,000 at auction last week. The truck stop closed in October after 45 years, according to reports by the Des Moines Register.

Anyway president David Bhillon told the newspaper he plans to reopen the truck stop and have it operating as it was before.

“Our plan is to reopen it and do the same thing they were doing before,” Bhillon told the Register. “We will just clean up the property and bring it up to date.”

According to its website, Anyway operates a fleet of 24 trucks hauling van and reefer freight.
