Trucker PathTrucker Path, a smartphone app launched last year that provides truck drivers location-based services such as mapping and nearby truck stops, weigh stations and rest areas, announced this week it is giving away $5,000 in prizes, including an iPad.

Trucker Path’s app recently surpassed 130,000 active users, and the company says it’s looking to expand its services in the coming months.
In addition to information the app offers now — routing and mapping and locations of truck stops, rest areas, hotels, truck washes, Walmarts and more — the company hopes to add functionality to allow drivers to apply for jobs and find loads.
It also plans to implement fuel price information and low clearance warnings.
