Kinedyne awards scholarships

Kinedyne Corporation recently awarded Cass Sheridan, of Prattville, Ala., and Shaley Smalley, of Albany, Minn., $2,500 for college in a new collaboration with the Alabama and Minnesota state trucking associations.

Recipients for the first year of the program were selected based on 500-word essays on how the trucking industry impacted their lives positively. The competition was open to all members of the respective trucking associations, as well as to members of their immediate families. Payments will be made directly to the winning students’ bursar accounts for tuition costs.

Sheridan is enrolled at Troy State University in Troy, Ala., and Smalley will attend St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.
