Love’s Travel Stop in Oklahoma destroyed

Love’s Travel Stop at I-40 in Choctaw, Okla., was destroyed by one of a series of tornados that swept through the state May 10.

No one was hurt when the twister hit. Employees and visitors took cover in the beverage cooler and restrooms.

The company said the location, which has been in operation for nearly 25 years, will be demolished. The company will decide where and when to rebuild.

Love’s operates additional travel stops on I-40 at Seminole 30 miles east of Choctaw and in Oklahoma City 30 miles west of Choctaw, according to its website.
