The Freight Transportation Services Index rose 0.3 percent in April from March, increasing for the third consecutive month, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported June 9.
BTS reported the Freight TSI index has risen 4.9 percent over the last 11 months, after declining 15.3 percent in the previous 10 months. The index has increased in nine of the last 11 months.
The index started 2010 with a decrease of 1.4 percent in the first four months.
