Tolls begin on Seattle bridge

Tolls began Dec. 29 on the Highway 520 floating bridge in Seattle to help pay for a replacement bridge.

Tolls vary by time of day and vehicle type, with the highest for trucks and trailers. A three-axle truck owner will pay $5.25 each way during peak periods.

Tolls are electronically debited through a sticker affixed to the windshield. Truckers can access the state’s toll website at goodtogo.org or by calling (866) 936-8246 to set up an account and order a sticker.

Many drivers are expected to use I-90, which is the other main east-west route into Seattle and isn’t tolled.
