Marten ups detention pay

Driver detention pay has been increased $2, making the pay $17 per hour, Mondovi, Wis.-based Marten Transport  announced.

The increase applies to drivers who have to wait more than two hours to be loaded or unloaded at customer locations. Any driver identified as consistently having extreme detention issues will continue to earn $20 per hour.

Drivers are also paid $17 per hour of downtime at drop yards and drop pools when waiting on service for a trailer pick-up.
