Leland Martin to sing at 16th annual Truckers Jamboree

Country music singer Leland Martin will perform at a 7 p.m. concert May 18 as part of the 16th Annual Joplin Truckers Jamboree, said event coordinator Joel Hamilton.

To be at the Joplin 44 Petro, off Interstate 44 near exit 4, the May 18-19 festival will also feature an antique truck and car display, exhibits, other live entertainment, carnival rides, fireworks and a cookout.

Martin’s signature track “Stone Cold Fingers” from his album Simply Traditional is one of many he, as a former driver, dedicated to the trucking industry.

The Joplin 44 Petro is part of the Walcott-based Iowa 80 Group.
