Fed agency to discuss medical issues

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will discuss the medical certification process with truckers at two truck stop visits this summer.

The first stop will be from 8-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the Pilot Flying J Travel Plaza in Indianapolis.

The second event is scheduled for the Washington, D.C., area on Aug. 18.

Presenter will be Mary Gunnels, Ph.D., FMCSA director of the Office of Medical Programs, and Dr. Benisse Lester, the agency’s chief medical officer.
