DOT gives another $12 million for Sandy relief

New Jersey and Connecticut are the most recent recipients of emergency relief funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation, made available at states’ requests to aid in their response to Hurricane Sandy’s destruction. The DOT announced Thursday that $10 million has been given to New Jersey and $2 million has been given to Connecticut.

The money is designed to be used for repairs to roads and bridges that need to be done immediately. For the full story, see Overdrive sister site CCJ‘s report.
