Diesel price drops to below $4

The national average price of a gallon of diesel has dropped below $4 for the first time since an 11.5-cent jump and a 6.1-cent jump in consecutive weeks in August pushed the price higher than $4. According to the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration, diesel dropped 3 cents a gallon this week to $3.98.
