Hours of service, CSA top targets for House transportation committee

Inspection CsaThe transportation committee in the U.S. House for the new congressional term said this week it intends to target hours of service rules, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability program and state tolls on federal highways as their primary oversight goals for the next two years.

The highway subcommittee is responsible for overseeing trucking regulations, among other things, and plans to take a look at the changing hours of service rules and follow up an an already-requested audit of CSA.
