Richmond Peterbilt Store suffers fire damage

A two-alarm fire damaged The Peterbilt Store in Richmond, Va. early Tuesday morning. According to The Richmond Times Dispatch, firefighters were called to the scene at 3:47 a.m., with more units called in for support at 4:04 a.m.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Greg Arscott, Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Southeast operations, says the blaze appeared to have started between two firewalls and was isolated to the service bay portion of the facility.

Parts and truck sales at The Peterbilt Store – Richmond are currently open, and Arscott expects to have four service bays open and operational once the investigation is complete and cleanup can begin.

Arscott said that some trucks were damaged in the blaze. Customers wanting to check the status of their trucks can call 804-231-9800.
