Barr-Nunn upping team pay

Barr-Nunn Transportation announced this week it is raising its pay for team drivers to a base rate of 55 cents a mile (empty or loaded) and 59 cents a mile for hazmat loads (placarded or not).

After a year at Barr-Nunn, team drivers can get 56 cents a mile.

The carrier is also offering new teams $1,250 for each driver on their first pay checks and an incremental 5-cent a mile split for the first 120 days.

Used-truck market rife with uncertainty
