Old Dominion announces rate increase

Old Dominion Freight Line announced this week it will be raising rates by about 4.5 percent starting Jan. 5, 2015.

Specific rate changes will be based on shipment lanes, distance traveled and more, but the overall impact will be a general rate increase of 4.5 percent, the carrier says.
