Emergency roadwork between exit 48A (New York Route 77) and exit 48 (New York Route 98) on I-90 eastbound will proceed beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, March 21, the Thruway Authority announced today. Work will continue through Monday, March 23, at 6:00 a.m.

Isolated pavement repairs will be performed in both EB lanes. Truckers should expect single lane closures and a posted work zone speed limit of 45 mph. In the event of inclement weather, the Thruway authority noted, work may be delayed or postponed.

The work follows a “winter of bitter cold temperatures and extreme winter weather,” the Authority says, that damaged pavement more than usual.
