The RoadPro Family of Brands has launched new beef jerky.
RoadPro’s parent, DAS Companies, a marketing and supply chain that serves major truck stops and convenience stores, has teamed up with beef jerky producer Bill Sprecher to launch Original Bill’s Steak Strips. The premium jerky is made from eye-round steak and smoked with a combination of hickory and apple wood. The strips are thicker and more tender than traditional jerky, White said during an interview at the Mid-American Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky, last month.
The company’s established PowerDrive line of inverters is transitioning to a new generation of 10 inverters as large as 3,000 watts, White said. They will have USB 2.4 ports, so they will be compatible with most newer electronics.
White said the company last year added a consumer dimension to its 12-member RoadPro Pro Driver Council, which tests products and provides other information from the road. The Road Warrior Club, an offshoot of the Pro Driver Council, accepts membership from professional drivers and other travelers who want to receive insider insights, product news, special offers and preferred status, White said. The club has 25,000 members.
Another major RoadPro launch from last year was the C4 CB radio system. It is based on a premium CB and microphone from RoadKing and a premium antenna and connection cable from Wilson, White said.
