Overdrive this year has joined Instagram, Snapchat and new video sharing app Periscope, all as part of an effort to reach our readers in the digital spaces they prefer and to continue to create opportunities to deliver stories and trucking news and lifestyle content in new ways.
We’ve been on Instagram since March and have been posting custom truck photos and more. We waited to get our feet on the ground some before announcing it here, but we invite you to give us a follow: @OverdriveTrucking.
See some examples below of photos from our Instagram feed posted in recent months. We plan to ramp up activity next week at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.
If you follow us, you’ll get views from inside the show throughout each day, including pictures of the Pride & Polish National Championship winners, Overdrive’s Most Beautiful, competition from the Trucker Talent Search and plenty of views from the show floor.
We’ve also set up a page on our site, OverdriveOnline.com/Instagram, where you can find stories corresponding with the photos we post on Instagram.
It’s easily accessible via a quick tap/click from our bio on Instagram, so don’t worry about having to keep up with that url or plug it in each time you’d like to see more or read the story corresponding with each of the photos.
We also invite you to give us an add on Snapchat, at the username OverdriveLive.
We’ll be sharing photos and videos in a more casual way from the show via our Snapchat Story.
If you have any questions about either, don’t be afraid to drop us a line: [email protected].
Also, live from the show floor next week we’ll be streaming video via Persicope, a new in the moment, live video sharing app. Watch our Twitter feed, @OverdriveUpdate, to find links to when we’ll be livestreaming from the show floor. Or, if you’re already on Periscope, follow us via the username OverdriveUpdate.
