Drivers interested in sitting in the cab of a Mack Pinnacle, Granite or Titan equipped with the mDrive HD 13-speed automated manual transmission on a work site can now do so through Mack’s virtual reality test drive.
Using virtual reality headgear, Google Cardboard or a smartphone, drivers can take a 360-degree look of the cab interior, while also seeing the truck while it’s operating in quarries and on the highway.
Three interactive virtual reality videos are available for viewing at Mack’s VR website, but the company says the experience is more immersive with Google Cardboard and the Mack VR smartphone app.
The videos show the mDrive HD 13-speed, which features low reduction creeper gears, working on a muddy jobsite and managing a fully-loaded Pinnacle up and down 15 and 20 percent grades.
