Some U.S. ports continue to monitor and adjust gate hours as peak shipping season winds down toward Christmas.

Virginia International Gateway in Portsmouth will be open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 3. The Virginia Port Authority, a state subdivision, leases that Elizabeth River marine container terminal. The authority will offer extended hours at Pinner’s Point Container Yard on an as-needed basis.

Hours at VPA’s other cargo facilities and the Port of Richmond will not change.

Seattle and Tacoma ports publish terminal schedules each Friday, but recommend checking each terminal’s website for updates. This week, terminals will open 7 a.m. weekdays only, except Seattle’s Terminal 46, which remains open Saturday and during weekday lunch hours. Seattle’s Terminal 18 will be open during lunch as needed.
